Forklift
Training Effective March 2000, The California Occupational Safety
and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA) issued new training requirements
for forklift operators and drivers of other industrial trucks.
The new rule spells out detailed training requirements
for operators of "powered industrial trucks," which is defined
as "mobile, power driven vehicles used to carry, push, pull, lift,
stack, or tier material." These would include equipment such as high
lift trucks, pallet trucks, and forklift trucks.
Fidelity Safety's certified forklift training program
helps workers reduce the risk of injury or death caused by forklift accidents.
This training program is designed to ensure compliance with the new Cal/OSHA
forklift regulations.
Aerial/Man-lift
Aerial Lifts Trainees receive instruction from trained and certified instructor
on applicable regulations, safe aerial lift operation as well as extensive
hands-on exercises. Each trainee's knowledge and skill level is evaluated
and only those able to demonstrate a minimum level of operational competence
receive documentation of successful program completion.
Classroom theory training is 50% of the day and practical
hands-on training is 50%. Types of Aerial Lifts include (electric and
engine powered):
- Aerial Boom Lifts
- Straight Mast (Telescoping Boom)
- Aerial Work Platforms
- Scissor Lifts
- Vertical Lifts
